I vaguely remember car wraps. I think they became popular after I was a starving student so I never did them as a way of getting some extra spending money while I was in college.
When I started reading up on scams, especially on Reddit, I was surprised that car wraps were still a thing. And then I figured they were only a thing in the eyes of scammers and gullible people.
It turns out that there are still legit advertising companies that do car wraps. You get paid, but it’s not get rich quick by any means, just an extra income stream. It’s not something I’d do myself, especially nowadays, but every little bit helps sometimes for someone with added expenses.
So can you get paid for putting ads on your car? Absolutely! But you should never pay the technician doing the wrapping. If you’re being asked to… that’s a scam.
